Re: Anybody running Dunlop tires?

But they were old tires and the rubber was hard and that bike was friggin' scary going around corners. Then I put new ...

Re: Anybody running Dunlop tires?

25 year old Metzelers!?! You are living dangerously my friend. I'd get new tires stat! Rubber hardens after a while, even if the tires had never been mounted I would not use them.

Re: Buying 100RT with sidecar?

I'd keep looking, sidecars are tough on bikes. I wouldn't want to mess around putting the bike back to pre-sidecar status, plus what would you do with the sidecar after removing it? Not worth the hassle in my not so humble opinion.

Also, Welcome Aboard!!!

Anybody running Dunlop tires?

If you are running Dunlops you might find this article interesting. I tried them for a little while and did not like the way they handled. Seems I might have made the right decision by going back to Metzelers.

Re: Rain Riding

Hope you had good raingear. My biggest issue with riding in the rain is my visor and glasses fogging up on me.

Re: K Bikes

I rode a friend's K75 once or twice. 'twas nice, smooth & powerful if a bit on the heavy side. Just didn't have the "character" and "soul" of an airhead. Still, a very nice machine.

Re: Grease incompatability

Read this... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaska_Airlines_Flight_261 The problem was the grease was changed. Either grease alone would have worked fine, but not mixed. The resulting corrosive effects of the mixed grease ate up the ball screw, which locked the control surfaces. The NTSB didn't seem...
