Re: Take airhead to Europe?

What ZM said. I wouldn't want to ship my baby off to Europe, who knows how it would be treated by the shipping company and others who might handle it in route? I'd rent if it were me.

Re: Redline Heavy ShockProof Gear Oil worth the cash?

I wouldn't bother with it if it were me. As Rob said, Valvoline 80W90 seems to work just fine, and that's what I usually use in gearboxes and what I used in my airheads. I doubt the redline would make much difference in the agricultural shifting qualities either.

Re: Fairing

Yeah, nothing at all to block the wind is not good.

I prefer a medium sized windshield. Or the "S" fairing. Had one of those on my R100/7 and it was decent wind protection.

I have no doubt that you are correct Kurt. In my previous post, I should have said, "Well it looked like a lufty to me".

Still a barndoor that I would remove immediately if it were my bike. But that's just me. Me no likee giant fairings.

Arthur Fulmer? Never heard of 'em. Well it looks like a lufty to me, but what do I know? Not much.

We don't call people stupid or insult them around here. Not usually anyway. Welcome aboard Mike!

Re: How to Wake Up a 1975 r90/6?

That's a real nice bike Mr. Bugs.

If it were mine, I'd lose the barndoor Luftmeister fairing ASAP. I had one of those on my '78 R80/7 and it was just too big and heavy for it. It was very liberating to take it off. Sold it on Craigslist pretty easily too.
