Re: R1150RT transmissions

2004 RT, 90k miles. zero issues with the tranny, splines, clutch, etc. Still shifts like a brand new bike. I've run Amsoil synthetic since new so maybe that's helped.

LOVE 6th gear on the highway, btw.

I'll vote for a bad or leaking condenser, assuming you have the stock points and condenser ignition?

Do you know how to check a condenser with a DVM?

Re: Can I use R100 rear drive on my R90S?

The stock R90s rear end ratio is 33/11 and matches to the stock speedo. There will be a number at the bottom of the speedo face. (1.112 is stock for the R90s with the 33/11 rear end). If you change the rear end ratio, without changing the speedo, it will be off. Some says it's always off anyway. Yea...

Re: Min. Rotor thickness

I guess my follow up question is, "if I wanted to get oem style solid rotors, where would you purchase from?"

thanks,

Min. Rotor thickness

What is the minimum thickness for a stock, solid brake rotor for a 1974 R90/6?

I don't see it stamped on the carrier.

thanks,

Re: Sticking Brakes

A little more info. I do need to get the hand lever cable adjuster as mentioned previously. But another observation when working on it again over the weekend, is that the right side caliper was moving as I applied the brakes. I deduced that the inside pad wasn't quite perfect and therefore, when pr...

Re: Sticking Brakes

You will need that cable adjuster to properly adjust the lever. Good news, they are available from the dealer. 12 CABLE ADJUSTER 1 32721230876 $17.64 I would double check that number as the controls changed between the 74 and 75 model year, not sure which one I grabbed. gg Thank you sir, I think I ...
