Re: Headlight

Twist the fuses in their holders. That may help break through any corrosion that may be preventing good contact.

Better yet, remove the fuses and clean with emery cloth (holders, too) and replace with dielectric grease.

Better yet, upgrade to SAE blade fuses...

Re: Headlight

I would look under the fuel tank.
On the '81-'85 [twin-shock] R65's, that is where they were relocated, after being behind the r-h sidecover on the earlier models.

Are these old bikes hard to get parts for? Is there a thread here somewhere outlining the characteristics of the R25/26/27 's? Don't know about a thread, but if you plan to actually ride it for more than 1/2 hour, you will want a R27 with it''s rubber-mounted engine. I hear it makes a world of diff...

I've bought a couple pair from Dave Quinn. Good service and price.
What is really neat about Dave Quinn (besides a great shock at a reasonable price) is that when you call the number (203-393-2651), Dave, himself, answers!

Heinrich 2-Piece Fairing

This is a pretty cool fairing I had never seen, before. Wrapping over the front of the fuel tank, as it does. I found the first picture on Advrider, doing a search for Heinrich stuff. https://i.imgur.com/4YckFKKl.jpg Then I saw where Blue Moon has a $et for $ale!!! ($4000...) https://www.ebay.co.uk/...

Re: PICTURE OF YOUR BIKE/BIKES

But you still have that luscious handle for lifting the bike onto the centerstand! That was one of my favorite features of the K bikes. The 79 R65 has a poor centerstand design. I rode mine for 35 years. I am going in for my 4th bi-lateral hernia repair next month. I am pretty sure that keeping my b...
