Hi all:
A Dyna III came with my R60/5 ----- it falied in the heat
I replaced it with a Boyer ---- it failed on a lovely day... 175 miles from home
I replaced it with an Omega --- and it has been happiness and bliss ever since.

I had almost the exact problem several months ago with my /5. The fault was not in the bucket, but a short in a wire ( the rear lamp) that led to the bucket... in other words a short outside the bucket transferred the short to the bucket. Same symptoms... lights worked fine when headlamp diassembled...

I had almost the exact problem several months ago with my /5. The fault was not in the bucket, but a short in a wire ( the rear lamp) that led to the bucket... in other words a short outside the bucket transferred the short to the bucket. My experience with the /6 and later pods is that the later bulb holders do not fit in the /5-type pod bodies. The cutouts of the later bulb holders do not mate with the aluminum casting.
