Airheads are usually quite muffled. But the boxer engine can really sound beautiful with the right exhaust, and it doesn't have to be loud.
I've been thinking of a set like this.

Re: Breaking News - My Breaks Dont Work
How are you brake lines? With age the rubber lines can break down inside and rubber bits can come off and cause problems as you described. If the lines are old change them along with a master cylinder kit. Don't take shortcuts on breaks! Replacing these parts is routine maintenance.

Oil filter filling
I've just seen some solid evidence that pre-filling a new oil filter measurably reduces particles compared to a dry filter at start up.
Our airhead filters slide in sideways makes pre-filling impossible.
I would like to know if you soak your filters before insertion.
Or?

Re: Pre load Gear changing
It's got to wear things out. If the bike is operating properly, it shouldn't be required. Once you get use to the timing, it should not be any more difficult to shift than any other bike. I go from airhead to modern machines without a thought.

instrument fog

So I often have some moisture in my speedo.
After running several hours it will dry out.
But it returns again.
Is there a vent hole?
Where might that be, if there is one?
Could it be partially blocked?
Has anybody done a mod, for better instrument ventilation?
Thanx

Re: leakage at rear hub
I think my problem is the level plug on the rear drive. I checked the level, this time when at operating temperature, and some more oil came out. I rode it some more and there was a lot less coming out. One thing I realized is that I put a thicker copper gasket that I got in a kit. So I put the anci...

Re: leakage at rear hub
Yea I'll check everything. I guess it was just running too good.
