75 r90/6 FUSE VALUES?

Hi,

So I've searched around with no avail; what are the fuse amp values for a typical airhead? Are they all 8A? I keep blowing the brake light/horn/turn signal one recently and the manual hasn't been very helpful in answering my questions...

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Nick :D

Re: Solo seat

Thanks for the replies! I have a pretty good feeling about what to do now.

I like the denfeld seat...especially how it rises in the back...is the picture in the link the right one?...looks just a hair different....hmmm

Cheers!

Re: /6 tach

I can't offer any suggestions, however....

My needle (yup, just the needle) decided to snap off the center pin (?) whilst cruising along just the other day....funny...but now I have no rpm gauge....strange I thought...

Re: Airhead Engine/Tranny seal exploded and oil spilling...!

For those of you still tuned in (my apologies for not being glued to a PC for the last two weeks..) I made it to CA without further incident....just hummed along for 1000 miles of byways(sp?).. As far as I can tell the old seal must have been just worn out...no visual tear, but definitely harder tha...

Solo seat

I have a 1975 r90....and looking for solo seat...any suggestions?

Corbin has the gunfighter...but that's not what I'm looking for.

Even building/making my own is not out of the question...anyone done this before with great success?

Thanks,

Nick

Re: running light circuit Fuse blowing (!!)

Thanks! it seems as though the chrome ring (/back of the light bulb housing) has the same potential as the parking light bulb. I think the problem is limited to the headlight assembly because i change the fuse, test everything, and see a big spark ( and the fuse pops) when I place the assembly back ...

Re: Airhead Engine/Tranny seal exploded and oil spilling...!

Thanks so much for the comments! i bought the parts (rear main seal, oil pump o-ring, oil, etc.) and rebuilt it in my friend's garage with great success. The culprit (for those of you interested) seemed to be the rear main oil seal. After 100 miles there is no sign of oil leakage, and I'll be riding...

running light circuit Fuse blowing (!!)

Hi all, I have a 1975 r90/6. The 8 amp fuse for the parking light/running light/instrument cluster keeps blowing. All the lights are functional. I have narrowed down the problem to the following: when i remove the headlight from the bucket and replace the fuse, everything is fine and functional. I t...

Airhead Engine/Tranny seal exploded and oil spilling...!

I have a pretty big problem. In short, a friend and i are on a 4000 mile mototrip around the west coast of the USA. Me on my 1975 R90/6 and him on another bike. For 3300 miles everything was fine, until somewhere along the Idaho/WA interstate my bike decided to spill its entire oil contents on the f...
