Re: One for Ken

That's cool. I wonder why it's so slow. I think a Stanley Steamer could go fast enough to fall apart.

Re: New Toaster

Welcome to the forum. Those are pretty bikes. One of my riding buddies has a (I think) '71 short wheel base R75/5. I was able to find a downloadable manual for my R65 (though I still bought the print one) on R65.org but I don't know of one floating around the internet for your bike, sorry. ZM's sugg...

Re: Ordered one of these today

It would be too traumatic in the winter. That thing really helps keep me warm. I don't know about Laminar lips, never heard of one of them on a Windjammer.

Speaking of Windjammers, I wonder if Craig Vetter is getting any better.

Re: Ordered one of these today

Back to the topic, I rode to work through a pretty heavy rain storm and the new Lazer helmet had water coming down the inside of the face shield, just like my HJC and my Shoei RF1000. I'm pretty sure it's the Windjammer and not the helmets. Luckily they all have pinlocks and don't fog up. Still anno...

Re: Ordered one of these today

I'll just stick with my cheap motorcycle but nice helmet and riding suit.
I would definitely buy a Zero over a new BMW.

Re: Drive shaft bolts tight!

I just use my Craftsman wrench. How much I tighten them is more related to my pain tolerance than how hard I could torque them; if I used a thick rag I bet I could break one of those bolts. But I don't do that. My R65 has the cush drive too. I loosen them the same way Rob does. I may have learned th...

Re: Motorcycle Fatalities Rose 10 Percent in 2015

I think traffic fatalities in general have gone up, over 40,000 in one year recently. Too many lousy drivers who still get to keep driving.

Did you sell your cbr? I'm wanting to ride my Fargo more than my Beemer but my stupid new job makes it difficult and rare.

Re: How do you feel about Snowbum's site?

Like Kurt, I've printed out stuff I needed. I think it's a very valuable web site and was lucky enough to be able to thank him in person at the Redmond rally a few years ago.
