Re: 2017 Border Run

Gidday Fellas, The story of the Torana is this. Whilst waiting and walking aimlessly around the historic township of Burra in South Australia for SteveD and Doug to return with the search n rescue trailer, I got talking to our Motel proprietor at the Burra Motor Inn. They lavished my with hot frothy...

Re: 2017 Border Run

Jeff, So once I get it started again, what should I look out for and what would of caused this? Is it a case of checking valve clearances every 1000kms from now on and watching what happens each time and keep a log of the clearances, or in time do I need to machine heads, seats and acquire new valve...

Re: 2017 Border Run

I checked the valves this morning after chatting with Jeff last night. Yep so very tight on both sides and I am now officially at my most embarrassed point ever in my life. I rang Brett my mechanic mate who came over before work this morning for a look after I told him about the tight valves and las...

Re: 2017 Border Run

Update.... So on the day the weather was a cold 9c degrees with a super strong head wind on a long up hill gradient from Morang to Burra in South Australia out in the wide open countryside.. My mechanic mate has just left the shed and we found this. Out with spark plugs and compression tested each s...

Re: 2017 Border Run

Gidday Fella, Sorry for the delay in replying to btw. Yep our adventure came to a stand still on the side of the road about 20kms east of Burra around 4pm on Friday just as a massive storm front came through. We had just done 1000kms and going by my GPS we were running 2mins behind scheduled since I...

Re: 2017 Border Run

Gidday Fellas, Yep all will be fine, its not a race but a constant "legal" speed will be maintained over the 4 days. Bed, shower and feed each night will help to nodoubt :) I ended up mounting a 55w HID "striker 170" Lightforce spot light on the left side crash bar, this reflector can be twisted aro...

I'd like to see him get it out of the truck.

Good to see him wearing his protective hog loading apparel tho.
I mean, imagine if someone walked past and he didn't have it on. They might think he was just a 4'-6" little fella with a problem.
LOL :)

Re: Oz-Boxerworks - Spring run

Shit we better organize crowd control, an after events cleaning Co, and wrist bands for pass outs (pass outs as in leaving the building on multiple occasions and not what happens after excessive drinking takes place.)

Looking forward to it fellas,

Re: Boxerworks is up again, hurray

Hi Duane, Well back.

I have been riding my ole 78 a little and those fork stanchions you set over to Oz are working lovely.

Your website, best of luck with that rebuild, is frustrating stuff :)
