Re: Evasive /7 Generator Light Problem

I have been having a similar problem with my r100r. I get intermittent light also. When the voltage is low, signal lights will self cancel. I have a glass matt sealed battery. I think it could have to do with the battery in my case. An internal short may be causing drop in voltage. It is very rando...

Re: A few days in NorCal

So I went back to Santa Rosa to pick up the jacket a couple weeks later. On the way down, I made a point of taking the old alignment of 101 in Mendocino County where available. The first bit is 271 from just south of Richardson Grove. This vid includes Richardson Grove: https://youtu.be/jW55Y171mUM ...

Is the last bike a Douglas Dragonfly or a Velocette Valiant ?
Douglas, but a MK5, I think. From just before the Dragonfly.

Hey! Are you heading to GP?

I'm rolling out early on the 20th in a mostly GP direction (299 to 96 to I-5, then I'm heading east after Ashland). LMK if you're anywhere near melvilleville on that day.

Yep, tire time chez melville also. 8,113 miles is a few too many for a Pilot Active.

Skinny (4.00-18) and no spacer.

Re: A few days in NorCal

So it occurs to me that I never quite finished this report. Indeed, it's not obvious that I made it home. So here we go. I woke up the next morning and got my stuff together. I'd moved a setting on my camera and got this result for my bike at dawn, purely by accident: https://photos.smugmug.com/Adve...

Re: Front Brake Light Not Coming On

Great to have another R75/6 rider on here. The answers to your questions are mostly 'yes.' I can't confirm that the switch is also a VW part, but that's not a stretch by any means. If you have a multimeter, you can also test the switch by checking for continuity across the terminals when the brake i...

BMW and MG riders usually have their ear plugs screwed in so tight they can't hear anything. :)
Hey! My motor sounds so much more reliable with the earplugs in.

Re: A few days in NorCal

After checking in at my motel and finding my room was much better than the one I had last time, I took a walk to go to evening yoga. I found that this: https://photos.smugmug.com/Adventures-2017/i-KD6zkHW/0/83b8de4c/XL/NCS20172-XL.jpg Had turned into this: https://photos.smugmug.com/Adventures-2018/...
