I did both carbs, making ringtopped pulls out of old bicycle spokes. The right one I usually turn off before I even move--maybe 10 seconds on that side. The left one gets turned off right after I hit second gear.

So I get the principle that you can't use excessive heat on cold drawn tubing without weakening it. But just how much heat can you use. I had a screwdriver that was the PERFECT size for limit screws on derailleurs. It vanished about a decade ago. This may have something to do with me not making my living working on bicycles anymore. That, and the unending poverty......
