Re: RT Fairing

I used the countersunk bolt/nut to crush mine and it worked well.

Siebenrock vs BMW (Neutral Switch)

Per my previous post, I need to replace the neutral switch. I've read some recommendations to cover the end of the switche with JBWeld or silicon. Ted Porter sells Siebenrock's replacement switch that is supposed to not leak. Has anyone tried Siebenrock's switch. Given what I've read about Siebenroc...

Thanks for the reply. Now I'll just have to find time to replace it.

I was able to drill some of them out, but yes some did spin. Use light pressure and go slow if you try to drill them out. At least that was my experience.

Tranny Neutral Switch Question again

I really hate to ask this, but I searched and could not find the answer. I know the question has been asked and answered. I just can't find it. I'm feeling like I'm taking two steps forward and one step back in getting my bike roadworthy again. About two months ago, I completed a spline lube and had...

Re: Brake rotor source?

I have had good luck with the Grimecas on my 81 R100RT. I put Grimeca's on my 88 R100RT and I've been very happy with them. I did purchase them from Motobins and they arrive relatively quickly. The Grimica rotors come with the carriers bolted to them, so replacement in the future can be limited to ...

Food for thought. How come the guy preferring the Kawasaki isn't speaking with a Japanese accent?

He (or she) was probably thinking "that was neat. I wonder if I could do that again."

Glad to hear that there was no damage.

That sounds good with one slight problem. The bike's back together. But, thanks for the advice.

Need advice before changing final drive oil

I'm facing a dilemma. I did a spline lube and set the swing arm/final drive assembly aside in a manner that I thought would prevent leakage. However, when I came back to it, a large quantity of the final drive oil leaked out. I usually ride the bike for a short bit to warm everything up before chang...
