Congrats! Although I have no experience with a newer airhead as this one, it looks like you found a clean machine. Hope he has the carbs dialed in and ready to go for you. Keep us up to date.

I used three big bottles of toilet bowl cleaner in the /7 tank to remove rust. It was around 5% hydroflouric acid, same stuff included with the Kreme Koat kit. Left it in a couple days shaking it every now and then. Gave it a good rinse and dry. Maybe has been 15 years now; coating is still good. Th...

I have a Autocom set. Used it a few times. The module plugs into a FMRS radio then into helmet speakers and a vox set. I ended up replacing the mike and used a PTT on the left handlebar which seemed to work much better. Sound is aircraft quality. IL need to get it going again for passenger chat.
