Soak it overnight with PB Blaster penetrating oil. Are you using a slide hammer with a coarse sheet metal screw?

If you are running a bigger tire than "OEM", be careful that INSIDE doesn't rub on the tire. You won't like that!! Jean, you made a good argument for mounting it on the outside. Also, road side tire repairs, I think, would be easier by unscrewing two screws on one side to clear for tire r...

I would think that it would look better mounted on the inside....but create a little shelf for mud to accumulate on. On the other hand....why would you want one at all? That's how I'd do it with a painted guard too. How well does it fit into the guard on the inside?
