Re: Idiot v. Motorbikes, Rounds 3, 4, and 5

I had a great trip to Montana back in June. Edgar ran like a champ for well over 2000 miles and the oil level only dropped 1/4 qt over that distance. There was epic geology: https://photos.smugmug.com/Adventures-2023/i-QLJJ5fz/0/c37626d6/L/Hwy207062020231-L.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Adventures-...

Looking good! I hope it's summer where you are so you can get to wearing it out again!

Nice! I'm doing something similar with Ernst. I'm calling it a ten-year refresh.

Re: Power Issues Until Bike is Warm

Check your float levels. If they're too low, under power you can drain the bowl faster than fuel can get past the needle.

Re: Idiot v. Motorbikes, Rounds 3, 4, and 5

I got fresh Michelins for Edgar as I'm taking him to Montana in June and with 5K miles on them, last year's Michelins wouldn't have made it there and back. But they definitely have enough life left in them to go on Elsa once the wheels are ready (Elsa is borrowing the /6 spoked wheels from Ernst pre...

Re: Idiot v. Motorbikes, Rounds 3, 4, and 5

Oh, it's been a bit! We actually had a bit of a winter this year. In fact, there was fresh snow at 5000' last night so I'm not riding in the mountains quite yet. But I am getting to finishing the current pillion audition--I quite like the gal and my spare gear almost fits her. We'll get out soon to ...

Re: Passenger footpegs on R65

Yeah, same as Kurt. If the pillion peg mount is toothy like this one, you can probably install the adjustable pegs from the big bikes: https://photos.smugmug.com/Moto/i-N8P7vz4/0/55b0832f/L/AirheadPillionPegMount-L.jpg There's some rubbery schmutz on that one, but you should get the idea. I'm also s...

Re: Passenger footpegs on R65

I'm wondering if your pillion peg mounts are anything like this: https://photos.smugmug.com/Edgar/i-Pt7dNqX/0/4a073044/L/Edgar84-L.jpg These are in the low and forward position but I have the ones on my /6 in the high and rearward position and my very long legged pillion at the time had no complaint...
