I measured the center-to-center distance on my /7. My rear pegs have some adjustability to them, but are currently as far forward as they can get. My left side is 24.7 cm while my right side is 19.1 cm. Interesting my left side is the biggest...different than your measurements.

Re: Passenger footpegs on R65
Welcome to the forum! I don't have any specific experience with the R65, but the first thing that I thought of was the difference in wheelbase. An R100 of the same time period has a wheelbase of 1465 mm while the R65 shows 1390 mm. That's quite a difference, so I imagine things are squished a bit. H...

State of Warranty Requirements in the UK
There is a BMW owner on other forums (who shall remain nameless!!) who has built a pretty tall soap box for standing up against BMW and their decision to not offer manuals to owners of newer BMW motorcycles...and cars I think as well. "Right-to-Repair" is a bubbling issue here in the US. T...

Re: R80/7 Front Fork Alignment
This is one website...lots to read. About half way down, he has a picture of his anti-torque method. https://bmwmotorcycletech.info/frontforks.htm One way of doing things is to leave off the top caps of the legs and remove the springs. Then tighten the lower section starting at the top. I think if y...

Surprised there isn't a sticky for this. In a post, click on the Full Editor button below the message box. Then click on the Attachments tab. From there Add Files.Royboy52919 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 8:58 amIf I knew how to upload photos to this forum I would post some.

Re: Reusing use once only bolts
Parts I can't get to easily I would use new. For driveshaft bolts, if they thread easily by fingers, I'd reuse...with some blue Loctite.

Re: Unable to remove fuel cap R100s 1977
In the middle of this page is a section titled "Ratcheting, unscrewing, re-keying":

If needed you may have to drill a hole which is described earlier in the article.
