Re: BMW MOA International Rally 2018- Des Moines Iowa

Only BW person I ran into was Curt Henry, but I saw tons of MOA people I know. And I rode 900 miles up from Atlanta only to discover a new musical talent from Atlanta on the entertainment bill!

Lots and lots of fun!

Re: Blue tooth head set

Back in 2007 I briefly had one of the first Bluetooth intercom systems, made by an outfit called BlueAnt. I also had a passenger for much of that year. Worked well enough, but had to be paired before each use and ultimately proved to be not very durable. I'm looking into the current products. MOA me...

Re: K Bikes

The first motorbike I ever owned was a 1985 K100RT that I got in 2001 as a non-running heap that was in dire need of refurbishing. It had been neglected in all sorts of ways, culminating with spending 18 months under a tree with no covering. I stripped it to the frame and refurbed it over a few mont...

Re: Rain Riding

My current helmet will accept a pinlock, but I think it's a step backwards. My previous helmet's faceshield came with a really good anti-fog coating that worked well for about three years- and by then it had collected enough scratches to justify a new shield anyway. Now if I want fog-resistance I ha...

Re: Music when riding.

I listen to stuff if I've got a long boring ride, such as slabbing it for long distances to get to an MOA rally or something. In the past I've used Etymotic ER6i in-ear phones, although I have narrow ear canals and had to rim one flange off the smallest rubber piece to make them fit (they came with ...

Re: Globulins?

Globulin is a type of blood-protein. John's British bike probably has a fair amount in its oil after performing certain maintenance and repair tasks.
