Re: Clicking sound on starter solenoid
I guess it boils down to if the housing is aluminum or plastic, plastic would require a separate wire.

Re: Clicking sound on starter solenoid
If I remember correctly the turn signals are grounded via the housing to ground, so there may not be a ground wire coming off the socket. Maybe cleaning where the housing touches the stocks will solve the issue. You could verify it's a grounding issue with a long wire touching the outside of the soc...

Re: Clicking sound on starter solenoid
I am thinking to have a load test done on battery, most times when the solenoid on the starter clicks like that it is an indication of not enough amps to engage the starter. I would also check your positive cable from battery to starter, corrosion can reduce current going to battery. I have seen cor...

Re: Mo-Unit Blue, re-wiring and 3D printed bits, etc
Charlie's and my R90 were built in the first month of production, about 70 numbers apart in serial numbers. It's interesting to see how he has incorporated this new electronic operating system in controlling all the electronics and new functions in the bike. He has done a pretty admirable job in my ...

Beautifull work Charlie, I am really impressed with the new electronics and the woodwork. Having a way to make plastic parts is clearly a plus in your conversions, solves issues with a very nice design. Brunhilde is looking pretty elegant.

Re: For the old hands ...
Rob, Sorry to hear you caught the virus, I hope you had your shots, and you make a full recovery without any lingering side effects. Your take on the idea is a great one in that the original cable is untouched, just rerouted. There is a possible problem that I encounter for those who plan on trying ...

Re: Beware Of EnDuraLast Cables For R75/6
Speaking of cables. When I replaced the front brake cable going to the under-tank M/C I purchased a BMW cable from dealer for my 74 R90/6. I never could get the cable to hook up no matter if I attached the handle end first of the other was around it was just too short to hook up to the lever on the ...

Re: Fork Oil R80/7
A 7.5 weight seems to be a popular choice, I always looked for the available weight rather than a specific brand.
