Re: Bing 40mm Overfilling
The first thing I would check is to make sure there isn't a bit of debris keeping the needle and seat from closing properly. What I have done in past is the remove fuel line from where it couples with the cross over and insert a HAND PUMP in line and blow the crap loose from the seat, sometimes that...

Re: Contactless ignition system?
This source in the UK should have the parts you need https://www.motobins.co.uk/index.php The old points systems is pretty durable and easy to troubleshoot. On my old Triumph, they have not been changed in over 30+ years, I just lubricated block and clean contacts. If they open and the condenser isn...

Re: Dragging front brake
When you have the master apart pay close attention to the bore way down there in the area when the fluid is compressed, if you see any pitting then having the unit resleeved is a good option. I have used 2 different sources for this process, one in brass and the other in stainless. Cost is around $1...

Pristine tanks, NO, lets see some patina
since we were talking about how nice tanks looked when uncovered from their covers I thought we could look at everyday uncovered tanks with some character.

Re: R1150RT Brake issues
Here is a link to RH electronics, they are located in Germany. https://shop.rhelectronics.de/shop/artikel/motorrad/ I also found a shop in England that was selling parts to convert to non-abs, had the U shaped brake lines to bypass in the control box, will post it's link when I find it again. Found ...

Re: R1150RT Brake issues
These bikes require having the brake system drained and refiled at least once a year. I do my R1100rs once a year just to keep fresh fluid in there and reduce contamination. All the issues that were on the brake system disappeared after I started doing regular maintenance on the system. The R1150 re...

Re: So here's my starter
Snobum's mod seems easy enough to fit the starter, the picture at the end of his article shows where to file,
you could do it in about 5-10 minutes.
