Re: Avoiding tolls.

Sheesh ... I'm over $800 on tolls for the year and still going - and I don't commute. The M7 though, cuts out 56 sets of lights. I wouldn't dream of going the old way. There was a guy on a bike pinched in the Harbour Tunnel a couple of years back. He was going through flat out every time... 200kph e...

Re: Local auto shop shows poor form.

Try this link... http://www.ironzombi.com/vid/Trent_Hendricks_folio-supercheap-auto-road_safety_CARMA.zip That's a download of it I believe. Short description.... a local boofhead racecage driver, known as "The Enforcer" fronts a campaign called Carma (a play on karma). It shows a bikie fi...

Re: LED spotlights ??

Don't worry about your alternator with these things. 54w for two. I used to run a 100w Cibie Super Oscar on the R90S - and it spent as more time switched on than not (late night Bells Line of Road runs to Cadia and back every week)... and had no worries.

Re: LED spotlights ??

Sorry guys... I've been busy... and my test mule is off the road. The F650 decided to mix its oil and petrol together, so I've got the carbies off... and I've got a couple of work deadlines that are keeping me away from fixing it. There's a guy over on ADV who did a good tear-down analysis on these ...

Re: Another Oz get together

I've been a bad boy.... very, very bad. I'm hoping to call through Guyra and say G'day (if you guys will talk to me).... but I'm not sure on timing. My plan at the moment is to head towards Brisbane on the Friday - as supervising driver for my Learner son.... and on Saturday, pick up my new to me or...

Re: LED spotlights ??

My favourite corner is on the Bells Line of Road... a couple of k this side of Bell. A sweeping left hander that goes on forever, with a 75k advisory. I have an image of a big buck roo standing right beside the road that is burnt into my memory cells - he was about a metre off the bitumen as I flash...

Re: LED spotlights ??

I'll revise that appraisal. They are great. I took a battery down the back lane and I can pick out a brick incinerator up the lane thats at least 100m away. The super-bright central beam has a good spread - about 10m wide 30m out. There is no cut-off at the top - which means there's issues for a low...

Re: LED spotlights ??

OK, its dark enough to see how far I'm penetrating.... and its a long way. It's lighting up my back yard and beyond. It's good for possum spotting in the trees two houses down.... so until I get them all wired up and mounted, all I can say is - they look good to me. Very good. I wish I'd had one on ...
