Yeah, I never had a problem with a little dirt.
Trying to keep up with the "Scots" around here left me frustrated.

Re: Tranny oil leaking through transmission vent screw
I had one of these oil cans to fill my gearbox. I think at one time I counted the number of pumps to get the 800cc. That was a long time ago. It works for the gearbox, driveshaft housing, and final drive. https://www.amazon.com/GOLDENROD-707-Industrial-Oiler-Spout/dp/B00004YK76/ref=pd_day0fbt_img_3/...

Re: Tranny oil leaking through transmission vent screw
The gearbox could be overfilled, or it could be swingarm oil migrating past the forward seal. I would start with a gearbox fluid change, but it is only filled to the bottom of the fill plug threads, so it would be hard to overfill it a lot. Probably the swingarm. That is the lube for the U joint. Wo...

Re: Bing 40mm Overfilling
I just ordered gaskets for my R100T from Max BMW. $3.58 each. Free shipping! Got them in a few days with a bag of M@Ms in the box. Does not hurt to have them in stock. No, you do not have to change them each time. But that does not hurt either. I grease them to keep them in place before installatio...

Re: Installing an airhead headlight.
Now, granted, the R65 was BMW's test-bed for advances. One, the wiring and most relays were located under the tank. The two standard fuses were located under the right side cover. But, once I began adding electrical accessories to my bike, I decided to install a fuse block. I used this one: https://...

I'm getting ready for my 3rd or 4th hernia repair.
I blame 35 years of the R65's center stand.
