Independent mechanics in Toronto area.

Hi
I have an R100RT, 92. The fairing is toast (don't ask). Does anyone know any good BMW mechanics to do some minor work on it and give me a decent bare bike?

I live in Toronto, but anywhere in the GTA or southern Ontario would be fine.

Thanks for any help.
By the way, toast doesn't mean it went up in flames, just severely damaged.

My 73 R75/5 is currently at Chuck's place and since this is the first time using him I will provide a review once completed. I spoke to Thomas at FKN and he seems to really know his stuff. I have no experience using him.

Rod at Moto Limo was great. His rig was perfect and he is insured.

Thanks for your help; I appreciate it very much.
There really is a dearth of mechanics for airheads in Toronto - pity.
I've heard Chuck is good - he was recommended by FlyingSquirrel - but he is pretty busy at the moment.
I'll phone others and see what happens.
Cheers

Thomas at FKN did a good valve job for me. Also installed a TimeSert for the valve cover stud.

Really happy with the work Chuck did. He really knows his stuff and even made suggestions for future work but was not necessary just yet. Easy to get in touch with and easy to talk to. Loved just hanging around in his garage shooting the SH----T

How about Al Blanshard up near Peterborough? Is he still around?

Yes, Al is still around and I did have a conversation with him. I may use him this winter to overhaul the engine since there are 74,000 miles on it. I have not met him but he does sound very knowledgeable.
