Polishing Aluminium

Post by Mottseng »

I really want to put some shine to R75/5 and was wondering what you guys use to clean and shine up the engine, wheels, carbs and other parts?

Imma just leave this here:

Watch out for the obsession.
Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would ride about a little and see the other parts of the world.

So-o-o glad the forum's (previously saved) archive is alive and well to delve into. Thanks Mel, for the bling memories. How's it looking today years later?

Mother's polish - I've tried others but this is the best and easiest.
Did all my brake linkages, pedal, handlebar mounts and rims - fantastic

It's holding up all right. The bits get an on-bike reblinging every other year. It does look like a rider and not a show bike now and that's just fine. I can take it apart and fully rebling it in another 30 years.

The best finish I've seen on airhead alloy.
