R75/5 new speedo review

Post by equipo5 »

Just a quick word to say that the new speedometers released by motometer seem ok.
Just checked mine with TOM TOM and it is spot on. The needles are very steady and smooth but the Tacho is a little blunted to blips on the throttle. The lights seem to be LED and they give away the fact that it is a reproduction. (They are also a little harder to see in direct sunlight). It comes with the rubber ring. For me in Repair was out of my reach at >au$700. I got the KM one from Europe.

Thanks Ian. I had a look at the Motorworks site for pics - so they are copies of the originals, with spinning cables and all. Good looking and not a bad price at 235 UK quid.

If the LED idiot lights are hard to see in our winter sunshine they'll be really hard to see in summer. This can be dangerous, particularly with the risk of the turn signals being left on. Maybe consider the addition of a very bright extra light somewhere.
