What happens when a machinist gets bored

Post by enigmaT120 »

I did have one Honda gearbox go out, on an '82 Accord. Nearing 300,000 miles. I put in a used one from a junk yard and kept driving.

What I'm saying is, don't give up hope? No, that doesn't sound right.

I think it's about Hondas now.
Hope so, I got one.

Those are the special tools required to rebuild a airhead gearbox.
edit: a friend of Ed's made them for him.

Experience not included.

Rob's certainly right about the experience not included. Well, I do know how to use the output flange removal tool. Which is what you need when a two dollar spring breaks in your gear box.

Is that what you have? Hopefully a spare.
