I don't like carrying passengers. I wish my wife would get her own bike. Oh well: that would just waste more gas!

Ross, don't ever forget the secret. Thanks for sharing.
I no longer get the feeling that I once so valued. My riding days are over............ except for some test/diagnostic riding for friends. I still enjoy that.
Last May we were in Germany and I got to spend a couple of hours riding on a newly done cafe classic from the 50s and it was sweet. I was just following a good rider who knew the local roads and they were wonderful. By the end I was once again thinking about spending a summer riding around Europe. In all of my trips to Europe that was the first time that I ever got to ride a bike. The whole experience was overshadowed by the unexpected death, two days later, of the owner of the bike that I was riding. Very sad story.

I think it’s quite appropriate to compare riding with meditation. Meditation is simply clearing your mind of memories & speculation so that you can be present in the current moment; EXACTLY what riding forces your mind to do!
