That is an interesting bike but I don't understand the point. It has a cargo area but racks and bags that make me think that a regular bike would be more practical and comfortable. It's OK to do something impractical but it raises a question in my mind. Maybe I would have put a couple car batteries and a motor with a propeller on the cargo platform.

Wouldn't this bike be able to carry a lot more than a regular bike, volume wise?

I think I'd rather have a trailer than a cargo bike.

Maybe it would be able to carry more than a regular bike but he isn't using it that way. There is a place for those types of bikes but I'd ride a regular one or, as Ed suggests, use a trailer unless I really needed that type. Of course, if he's making the bikes but doesn't need one himself, he still may want to ride it to see how it works.ME 109 wrote:Wouldn't this bike be able to carry a lot more than a regular bike, volume wise?

I kind of look at it this way: I will have only so many bicycle rides in this life so I want every one to be as good as it can be. I love bikes so much that they determine a large part of how I feel about a ride. Interpretation: I want to ride good bikes that I like. (I know, pretty selfish, but that's how I feel about it.)
