Meltdown Vintage M/C Show - Hendersonville, NC - Apr 28

Post by Wobbly »

It's time once again for the Meltdown Vintage M/C Show in downtown Hendersonville, NC, on Saturday April 28, 2018.

More details at... http://www.meltdownvintage.com/

This is a not so much a motorcycle "show" as it is an organized "barley therapy" block party where you can walk up and down several streets looking at vintage bikes that got ridden to the event. It is held in the streets right in front of Appalachian Brewery, so there is plenty of beer and good food. The event itself is not highly organized other than that the streets are closed to automobile traffic. The brewery also provides live music. It all adds up to a day of fun, walking around, drinking, looking at vintage bikes and people, and generally having a good time. Admission is FREE. You can also buy a raffle ticket for the 1979 Triumph Bonneville.

I really like this "gathering" becasue it's one of the few in my neck of the woods that hasn't been taken over by the Harley crowd. They'll be a few there, but by far the bulk of the crowd arrived on German, Italian, English or Jap classic bikes, and those riders have a much more laid back vibe. You'll like it.
