This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Mountain Top Motorcycle Museum Fire!

A Crying Shame...

https://www.fireworld.at/2021/01/18/tir ... -erstinfo/...

There are some inside images on Google Maps... I count at least 3 HRD Vincents and no less than 12 Brough Superiors along with every other bike under the sun including BMWs, Harleys and Indians... Doesn't look like much is going to survive by the images in the report.

Wow...I'm just stunned.

"A defective large screen in the museum's exhibition room was identified as the cause of the fire."

Maybe these things should be disconnected from power when closed?

When I worked for the water company, there was a big old copy machine parked outside the computer room. Being alone in the building at night, I would wander and notice things. This machine, never being used (I asked), was making it's hard-wired power cord warm to the touch. I reported it to my boss, and it was disconnected within a day or two.

Yep, they've been known to cause the occasional flame front!
