Forum Rally Update

Post by bbelk »

Its just a couple weeks till the Forum Rally in Austin! May 12 - 16 The homestead is mostly ready.

We have a nice new wet room in the shop with a real shower and potty!

Colleen has gone over the top with her garden and in spite of this amazing drought, it looks great.

We have loads of flat grassy tent sites and lots of covered space. Not that rain will ever be a problem again. We have a separate building with carpet and an air-conditioner if it gets too hot for anyone. The fireplace is cleaned out, and the wood stacked, and the burn ban still in place.

The shop will be open for anything that needs doing. I will have a trailer on stand-by for any problems on the road (rates go up if I have to drive very far).

We live a lot closer to shopping opportunities than Ken does, so any deficiencies in our food stocks can be repaired easily. But just to get things off on the right foot, what is your favorite beverage and I will have some on hand.

If you let me know when you plan to arrive then I will know when to send out a search party. If you have any questions, please call, e-mail, or post.

From a couple years ago...pic shows a bit of the side yard at Brad and Colleen's place. It's a lush garden!....

I will be I Penn. that weekend, visiting the daughter & the ex. We're gonna try and sell some stuff in a yard sale, and I am going to fix some of the easier things around the house. Recently-non-functional porch light, dripping faucet - easy stuff.
Nice leisurely road (car) trip.

As a recreational activity we will see if anyone at the rally can figure out how to use this thing and what the readings actually mean.

I wonder what happens if you remove that label? Do Chinese assassins appear from nowhere and kill you?

If you remove that label, you will see another label saying 'cyrinder reakage tester, made in Taiwan' :P

The Last Hill

Post by bbelk »

The last hill getting up here is a SOB, but it is concrete and opens back up and there are easy turn arounds at the top. Fear not! It can be done!
