I've not heard about people repairing them or getting individual parts. There is a website out there for getting inside one for the purpose of fixing the non-rotating odometer. Otherwise, you could try the speedometer repair places and see if they'll sell you parts.

Speedo repair - http://www.pbase.com/dwerbil/1978_r1007_odometer_repair
Palo Alto - http://www.paspeedo.com/
North Hollywood Speedometer - http://www.nhspeedometer.com/
Overseas - http://www.speedometer.com/

Try maybe Blue Moon Cycle - they have a vintage catalog and you might be successful with them. If not, probably need to look at the repair services as suggested,

well i got the nerve to take the tach apart to see what I could. Looks like the drive gear and driven gear both are striped. white plastic. allso the spring or what ever it was that held pressure on the tach needle is wrapped around the needle shaft. . Dont know why they would have stripped . Old age ? I,m thinking I,d like to find a good tach somewhere anyone got any ideas on where one might be ? Thanks Frank maube I,lll get another quote from overseas

I can't offer any suggestions, however....

My needle (yup, just the needle) decided to snap off the center pin (?) whilst cruising along just the other day....funny...but now I have no rpm gauge....strange I thought...
