Solo seat

Post by Rohls »

I have a 1975 r90....and looking for solo seat...any suggestions?

Corbin has the gunfighter...but that's not what I'm looking for.

Even building/making my own is not out of the question...anyone done this before with great success?

Thanks,

Nick

Do you mean besides the near-genuine (reproduction) version?

I love my 'original' Denfeld- if you can find one. Came as an extra with my bike when I got it. Had to repair the cover, strip the rust from the pan, re-paint and re-foam the thing. Looks just right to me.

"I love my 'original' Denfeld- if you can find one. "

That should be #91921 on this page from Motobins:

EDIT: now that should work.

I've just ordered an Airtech cafe seat. Couldn't resist, the Oz dollar is nearly equal to the US$.

Thanks for the replies! I have a pretty good feeling about what to do now.

I like the denfeld seat...especially how it rises in the back...is the picture in the link the right one?...looks just a hair different....hmmm

Cheers!

The one in the link looks pretty similar to mine, though I agree, just a little different. I don't know though, I haven't seen the other one in the flesh.
Mine is an actual original Denfeld rather than a repro- though my latest re-foaming of the thing is at least the second time it has been done, and I had to patch a few holes in the cover.
The repro looks pretty good to me.
