03 K1200 GT rear shock

Post by Norm T R100T R1150RT »

Howdy all - Picked up a "new to me" scoot - 2003 K1200 GT - can the rear shock reservoir be opened and the fluid level checked/refilled similar to my R1150 RT ? Thanks

Hey, Norm, I don't know if there's a single person on this forum who can answer that one. I think the few of us with K-experience are all familiar with the pre-1200 models.

I would try poking around this site:

Thanks Major - refilled the reservoir on my Oilhead, a bit low - helped with the preload adjustment, thought to do the same with the K - I'll check the forum you recommended .

When you're talking about BMW shocks and struts, no one knows more than Ted Porter. Give him a call, he's extremely knowledgeable and very open to questions.
