Re: A Warning! R65LS rehab bump - The Man Canned My Machine!
Mr. Adams forgot to mention how the smell of urine fumes up from the cement from about April till September.
And at the very least, crossing the border of Jersey can get you quite the nasty reputation.

A Warning! R65LS rehab bump - The Man Canned My Machine!
Figured I would share this as a warning if nothing else. I had my R65LS parked on a street in Brooklyn, NY a month ago. It wasn't yet running so through the winter I moved it side to side for the street sweeper. On March 1st the sanitation department apparently marked it as derelict (geez its not th...

Thank you all for the advice! Float bowls are new but will check the enrichener jet to make sure. That was the other reason for new bowls beside the pit holes. That jet was useless. Curious, can the floats for the bing slide carb be used for the cv? I have a pair from my 60. Trying to go easy on the...

Yeah I looked around Brooklyn for used Rob. Guy said he had them, and when I showed up what he had were new. So bit the bullet on it.

After a good cleaning, the pitting was so bad the bowls developed smallest of holes.
So new bowls it is...
The saga continues. I posted a new topic wondering what I need to do further to get this thing started.
Hopefully someone has some answers...

1982 R65LS: rehab bumps - no start
Hey All, Hope everyone is healthy, happy. Riding often. Here is the problem: Bike turns over, catches for a second, enough that the starter squeals to leave it alone, but then just doesn't catch all the way. Stalls after the first chug or two. What I have done thusfar: New battery. New gas with a bi...

Re: Have you ever seen worse?
Got into the carbs with qtips, PB, a bitty flathead, jet pokers, thought I would soak the bowls in vinegar, pour over a kale salad, pop a beer.
Will update!

Re: Have you ever seen worse?
KH, how can you suggest such a thing! Nothing a little WD can't handle. Ha! I thought of that. We live in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, which got its name for having high points, but where there are high points there are low points, right? His house happens to be a mid point where there wasn't flooding. Elect...
