Re: 1982 R100RS - Hit Pothole, Backfired and Died
Hey everyone, thanks so much for your input. After testing all components and getting readings that were in spec, I decided to clean all ground and wiring connections directly associated with ignition issues. I cleaned battery grounds, coil grounds and the jumper wire between, and the wires at the i...

Try spraying some starter fluid or whatever in a cylinder, put the plug back in, hit the starter and see what you get. But I think it's electrical. Check the left hand coil mounting bracket. It can break, and take out several grounds with it. Check ignition switch wires, make sure they're all conne...

Re: 1982 R100RS - Hit Pothole, Backfired and Died

Trying one more time with no result, I flicked the kill switch off and got a pop. Seemed like there was some unused fuel in...

Re: 1982 R100RS Shift Lever Assembly
Awesome, thanks guys. I'm surprised at how fragile this connection is. I plan to grab the updated linkage in the near future.

1982 R100RS Shift Lever Assembly
Hi everyone, I'm a new airhead owner. Recently picked up a 1982 R100RS that ran great the day I got it, then sadly ran into a slew of problems from the 2nd day on. I was taking it for a test ride after doing some work to it and when I tried to shift up after a stop sign, the lever had disconnected. ...
