Re: ATE Brake - What is this part/piece?
Great thanks everyone. So here's what these 38 year old ATE calipers look like after a complete rebuild and a bit of polishing. They are so shiny my wife pulled out her lipstick to see if she could put on makeup looking at them and joked that if they weren't so heavy she'd keep one in her purse. htt...

ATE Brake - What is this part/piece?
I'm rebuilding my calipers and was wondering if anyone knows what this is... it looks like a threaded stud but it isn't visible when looking inside the caliper reservoir.

Help - '78 Fork Rebuild
I went to change the fork oil in a recently purchased '78 R100/7 and when I went to drain it all that came out was a black ooze with grit in it, so I had to completely disassemble. When I finally got both legs off the bike and opened things up it was apparent they hadn't been serviced since it was p...

Re: Concourse Quality Bing CV Restoration
Good job, they look great. They didn't look like that when new. However, they will soon start to go back to looking like new as the Oxygen does its magic. Actually they should stay like this for years. I neglected to put in the step for protecting the metal because I haven't performed this step yet...

Concourse Quality Bing CV Restoration
OK maybe not concourse quality... But have you ever wondered how to restore a Bing CV carburetor so it's almost "show quality" shiny? No? Well here you go anyway... http://i.imgur.com/S560z1d.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WZ1IsMl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/UAn3udE.jpg I looked into getting these prof...

Re: Lighter Battery for R90S

Cheers, p2 Small and light LiFePO4 batteries are great. The best reviewed brands appear to be: Antigravity - http://antigravitybatterie...

Re: Wheel Recall ( Snowflake ) - The Definitive Truth
My 79 snowflakes are painted and I'm almost certain that was the original finish as they came to me wearing the original factory tires. The 1978 rear Snowflake drum brake wheel is different from every other year. In fact it is referred to as "odd-ball orphan", meaning '78 was the only yea...
