Re: Fork rebuilt R80/7

I'm not familiar with those forks but #20 has to be the damper piston rings. I've seen quite a few different damper valve forks but I don't believe I've ever seen a design with 6 items between the bottom of the main spring and the damper piston. Can't imagine what they are all for as mine has nothi...

Re: Wall thickness R80/7 swingarm

Hi,

thanks for the link!
I do have a swingarm with the reinforcement plate at the front.
I tried to upload a picture, but didn't succeed. Later I'll try again to upload a picture.

Wall thickness R80/7 swingarm

Hi guys, I'm redesigning the rear suspension of a R80/7 to a monoshock setup. I'm lucky to be able to do this as my master thesis. But I have to run some analyses on the swingarm. therefore I'll have to design it in CAD. Is there someone who knows the wall thickness of the tubes used for the swing a...

Re: Ignition coil replacement R80/7

I did exactly that (R75/5) a few months ago. So far so good. Meaning the green dyna coil. Thanks! it's nice to know that it works fine, I've ordered one yesterday. I wont be firing up the bike in the near future because there's a lot of esthetic work to be done before i can actualy build up the bik...

Re: Ignition coil replacement R80/7

Hello guys, thanks for your reply. as I'm making a caferacer of this bike, I want it to look as clean as possibel, so the large box wich holds the coils has to dissapear. The new coil wil be mounted inside the engine (at the place where the air filter used to sit). And then there will be some power ...

Currently i'm working on a BMW R80/7, to save some space, I would like to replace the pretty big ignition coils by just one smaller co...
