Thanks much for all the information. The guy doing the pinstripes is pretty talented, so I trust his skills. I'll let you know how it all goes.

Can you help identify my pinstripe color?
Can anyone help me find what the paint color name, or identification information, is for my pinstripes? My Silver R100 of 1984 vintage is being repainted. But the painter won't tackle the hand-painted pinstripes, which are dark blue. I've seen models out there with both light and dark blue stripes. ...

Re: Paint
Thank you for the advice. I will pursue the well-done hand-painted pinstripes to complete the bike. I will post some photos of the completed job.

Re: Paint
So, it sounds like the hand-painted pinstripes would be more correct? If so, that's what I'll stick with.
Thanks,

Re: Paint
May I veer off on a tangent with a question about paint? I'm getting my '84 R100 tank and bodywork repainted after rebuilding the entire bike. I have received paint bids that are all over the map. One shop does great work and hand-paints the pinstripes, the other creates the pinstripes by painting i...

Re: Can you help me find the oil pressure light power feed?
I found the issue. It was a little bit of grunge inside the pressure switch. It was first checking good, with continuity. Then later I discovered it was reading open. So I flushed it out with some carb cleaner and removed a bit of gunk. Perhaps that was holding the switch open, which caused an incon...

Re: Hello from new member
Sorry for the late replies. I'm in Weldon Spring, Missouri. About 30 minutes west of St. Louis. So, to answer Richard T, that's about 6 hours from Central Okla.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Can you help me find the oil pressure light power feed?
I need some professional advice. I purchased an '84 R100, and it's running again. No big issues, just new battery and clean carbs. The speedo light was out, so I opened up the instrument assy to replace the bulb. I thought the oil pressure light was burnt out too, but it was not. Now I cannot seem t...
