Thank you Rob. I found that Himalayan link too and that was about it!
Yes, I'm resigned to investigating the fueling but thought I'd start by getting the plug type correct.
A plug chop is a great idea. I've not done it before, only aware of the basic steps so I will look into it.

BMW R100R Bosch R6 plugs
Hi Everyone, Forum and airhead newbie here. I'm gradually going over my '95 R100R Mystic and finding a lot to keep me busy in the garage! One of the last things on my servicing list was to find two black, sooty spark plugs on removal. They're Bosch R6 and I could find no reference to these being use...

After reading everyone's feedback and looking at all the available options, I've opted for the Thunderchild rectifier. It appears to be an improved design but fits with no re-wiring or different mounting needed. I must mention that support from John at Thunderchild was outstanding. I happened to men...

Re: Recommended tyres for R100R
Thanks everyone for your feedback and suggestions. Once I’ve changed all the fluids and given the bike some TLC I’ve a short tour planned with a couple of pals around Northern Europe. So day rides and touring will be where this bike will be mostly ridden, but if the road and conditions are good I’d ...

Recommended tyres for R100R
Hello, I’ve just bought a 1995 R100R Mystic with a genuine 25,900 miles on the clock. It’s only covered about 1500 of those miles since 2006. It’s in good condition overall (on the outside a least) but work to do before my first ride. Both tyres have cracked sidewalls and low tread: a Michelin Macad...
