Is the splines in the final drive similar on both bikes? Are they interchangable?

14,6V regulator.

This is a standard Bosch regulator. Has anyone tried to use one of these on the bike? I bought this a few months ago but yet to fit it. It looks like a direct bolt-on. If needed the regulator can be removed and fitted somewhere with airflow. This cost me about 20 dollars. http://i922.photobucket.com...

The vent tube must be the easiest thing ti find in you local scrapyard.
