Re: R90/6 having engine issues
Giving the bike a thorough tune-up might do the job. My approach was to check the cheap and easy fixes first before I began to look in fear at things like head rebuilds and the like. Check the spark on both sides. (Do not just pull off the spark wires when it is running as this will fry and electron...

Re: The value of a 1976 R75/6
Thanks for the input folks. It seems that the place to wreck a /6 is Southern California.

Yes. The adjuster saw it 48 hours before it went bye-bye. That humboldt bike is tempting.

Ken-
You missed the cherry on top of my "poop parfait." The wreckage of the bike got stolen. No parting out or rebuilding for me.

Re: The value of a 1976 R75/6
I'm in So Cal. $3100 won't replace an R75/6 but all the ones I see around here shiny restores and Cafe bobbers. The bike had no luggage. It is sounding like a reasonable offer, especially since the wreck got stolen.

Re: $210 spent on Bing kit and this is all i got?
When I had my R75 I ran the Stromberg diaphragms and the stock ones. If the bike was in perfect tune I could notice a difference in throttle response (stock=faster) but that difference went away after 150 miles. The difference did not justify (to me) the 8x price differential. Moss Motors in Riversi...

Re: Insult+ Injury
Ken- I am deciding whether or not to get another bike. If I do it will absolutely have cylinders sticking out the side. Police Oilheads are tempting, however. Highly visible, inspire fear, lots of places to mount extra bright lights and noisemakers. Fun stuff.
