Fortunately the tranny is fine. Turned out to be the special bolt on the side car that broke when he wade a left U-turn, hence the bang. That caused the suicided shifter linkage to be misaligned and he couldn't shift. Thanks for all the replies.

Shifter Woes
Hi everyone, I have a friend with a R90/6 with a side car attached. He has a side car because he has only 1 leg and yet he still rides his Airhead, now that's DEDICATION, ANYWAY As he was riding in town last week he heard a BANG and then couldn't shift gears at all, she is stuck in 1st. I told him i...

Re: Wheel Balancing
You as well Richard. Happy New Year to all you folks.
I'am looking at the Tusk balancer and truing stand on Amazon. Its 73 bucks. The Harbor Freight one is just a balancer as far as I can tell. I want to be able to check how true the rim actually is.

Wheel Balancing
I'm putting on a new front tire and thinking about getting a wheel balancer and doing it myself. Anyone here do there own balancing? I've never tried it, I usually take it to a shop.

Re: Goin LED
Got the new LED headlight bulb installed, It's a tight fit, had to move some stuff around in the bucket. MUCH MUCH more light now. It's a crisp white light (6500K) compared to the old h4 one. I'm kind of concerned about the heat generated on the heat sink. Would it be enough to melt any wires that m...

Re: R75/5 Headlight Power
Sure would be nice if we could put an LED bulb in place of the power hungry H4 bulb. But I have never seen any mod like that.

Break In
Finally finished the rebuild on the 75 R90 S and have her all back together. Was wondering if there would be a break in period since I did put new rings in ? I took her to the gas station and filled up then took the long way back home. She rode and sounded beautiful. No smoking from either cylinder....

Re: Battery Cables
I have a 4ga to the trans, and another going to the coil bracket. These are fairly new cables. I read somewhere that it was good to have a case ground and a frame ground. How about dielectric grease on connections? I was thinking about using some Liqui Molly LM 508 copper based anti-seize on connect...
