Re: R75/5 Needs Wings-Long Odd Post
What does 14K represent? I'm thinking the mileage? Be nice if it were 14K gold plated, but no...it's mileage. We're thinking we can meet the "must remain operational" specs of the gift if it can be ridden down to the corner at 25 mph with no one dying. But we need WINGS not stickers or ba...

R75/5 Needs Wings-Long Odd Post
I'm a long-time lurker here and have enjoyed my visits to the point where I trust this crowd with an odd circumstance and request for advice. A college friend of mine just passed on and left his 14K R75/5 (I was with him on my R69S when he bought it new in Connecticut) to another friend who is a wel...

Does anyone else think the alcohol in the fuel affects the float level?

Re: LED spotlight update
As an aside, I was in a car shop the other day where they had a set of fancy LED headlights apart on the bench and was stunned to see the low beam mechanism was simply a metal blade that dropped down? and cut off the light beam.

Re: replacement mufflers
Unless I'm missing something, the JC Whitney 40mm mufflers for my 1977 R100RS - with 10% discount - are now around $110 a PAIR with free shipping. They'd have to be pretty bad to walk by at that price. http://www.jcwhitney.com/emgo-universal-muffler/p2006470.jcwx?filterid=c14658d57867y1977u0j3 What ...

Re: Geezerhood Approaches-Lowr Pegs/Raise Bars RS
These guys http://www.oshmo.com/product-category/parts/ are now machining gun-quality rearsets and I'm going to see if I can short circuit their production line and get the insert only and adapt it to a fully adjustable Brand X shifter with 2 setscrews.

Re: Geezerhood Approaches-Lowr Pegs/Raise Bars RS
I studied the bar issue and have given up on bar risers or K75S bars. I tried rotating the bars up, but even a little change puts the bar ends into the fairing. I guess one could heat up the bars, but....I like the dash pad and knob there and the bars aren't really my problem. I'm making a little pr...
