Re: tubeless

Hello Twist, and thanks for bringing this up. I think I'm in a similar position to you on this matter, and have also enjoyed the thorough debate seen on these pages. It certainly is a complex issue, and any argument which reduces it to a simple answer I automatically ignore. My main reservation is t...

Red is the New Black.

Uncle Mark, that gem is worth anyone's painting their "Heads" red, and as the official Style Guru here, (I've got a badge, and everything ...) I'm happy to sanction this departure from the sacred norm. If your seat cover needs reupholstertaping -- ME 109 will fill you in. (He knows what's ...

Re: Drive Ratios for the RS.

Rob, it's a generous offer, but I've a couple of leads to follow before my desperation reaches transatlantic proportions. AND , downsizing is about finding ways of NOT spending money (since you won't have any when penury enfolds you in its icy grip). So ..... time to get practical Why don't I ship y...

"4lb line, small hook, toss it in at the top of the rapids above a hole.........BINGO!" ... or as Isaac Walton said in The Compleat Angler, "Fine and far off" is the way to fish for ye trout. You stir old memories, and long buried passions Jeff. Must go hunting in god's garden a...

Hello Uncle Mark, and welcome; I do hope you'll drop into the Speakeasy as well as the technical forums.
Even though it is quite a drop.

All people that on earth do dwell, Dept.

Have a splendid trip Chuey, I wish I was coming along, Montana sounds like the sort of cowboy country I saw in the old westerns. Don't fall in the river which, I am reliably informed, runs through it. I'll have a hover overhead courtesy of Googlemaps, and see what your route looks like -- I was peer...

Re: Drive Ratios for the RS.

I'm hoping to have found something meterish by the time I've got round to taking the tank off and cleaning contacts, and releasing any evil spirits from the tacho.
That's either before or after I do the kitchen floor tiles ...

I go with Doc Daneeka's definition of "old".

Re: Drive Ratios for the RS.

A dwell-tach ... I'll ask around Jean -- I know a friendly garage or two, hadn't thought of that. I'm 62 tomorrow, and I'd like someone to tell me that's not old. Even more, I'd like to believe them. Sunbeem. PS. Most of us would say "a historic," you're right. When we want to impart a bit...
