Re: The times they are a changin'
Looks like these specialists are a dying breed.(literally) :o Many have retired and just can't be bothered anymore. I personally would much rather be riding than wrenching. Hope some yung'uns come along to fill the gap. I doubt many will want to deal with a bunch of old airheads anyhow. They've all...

Re: tire size
I've noticed with Max that their internal linking isn't perfect. Search for a rear tyre to fit a R60/6, there's no match... for a R80, there are several. Both bikes use the same tyre. Rob The only brands I see available for purchase are Continental,Metzeler, and Michelin. https://shop.maxbmw.com/fi...

Re: tire size
Michelin makes them in inch sizes for the BMW https://www.bikebandit.com/tires-tubes/motorcycle-tires/michelin-pilot-activ-motorcycle-tire/p/3763?m=143994 Those are tough to spoon. Regarding MAX, it is also noteworthy to me that they've stopped offering Avon tyres; at least as per the /7 fiche. If ...

Re: tire size
It's time for a new set,so I've been shopping. Figured I'd getaway from metric Spitfires for a change this year... In rears, it looks like Avon Roadrider no longer offers inch sizes and even the Metzeler Lasertec from MAX has gone metric ?? https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/tires-and-wheels/avon-ro...

Re: Redline Heavy ShockProof Gear Oil worth the cash?
Hey all, I've been thinking about buying Redline Heavy ShockProof Gear Oil for use in my transmission, drive shaft and final drive, but it's really expensive. That said, I usually don't cheap out on important things like oil. Any experiences in using them for airheads? I know airheads are clunky sh...

Re: How do you feel about Snowbum's site
When I purchased my first airhead, Snowbum's was the only tech site I was aware of; then, as now, I find it invaluable.
