I’m an Idiot - R65LS turn signal collar problem

Post by Inveloveritas »

Hi all

I’ve been an absolute eejit and lost both the collars that join the two parts of the cable carrying tube that holds the front turn signals together.

Basically after 3 years of searching I have reinstated the original fairing unit. Whilst waiting for fitment I rode the bike with the indicators off in preparation for the fitting. I hadn’t tightened the inboard Allen bolt and they’ve obviously fallen off. To help, the part numbers are 46631242393 and 4.

So, two questions, has anyone got two dollars knocking around not being used ? Or if not and I need to fit new more modern turn signals in front (something I’m not averse to) what exactly do I need to do ? Will modern LED turn signals work plug and play to a standard wiring loom or do I need to fit something else ? I’m thinking something like the small motogadget ones.

Thanks
Sean

Here is a photo. It’s not where my finger is pointing but it’s the collar that has two Allen bolts in it directly below my finger joint in the photo. I need 2 of them.
Thanks !

LED's need a resister added in. Can be done, but not "plug and play".

Part search is for # 13 & 14?

Hey Steve
No it’s not #13 and 14 that’s the cover that goes over the fork legs and the screw that holds it in. I’ve stuck a photo on my orig post and it’s the collar that’s UNDERNEATH where my finger is pointing.
