Yeah, I can only move the nut the slightest amount - flipping the spanner over for each bit. But I find that the big spring steel on the top of the gearbox holds the clam shell half in place while I am doing it. Maybe adjusting once or twice. Never thought about cursing this particular chore, though. I have many more I consider worse.
