Oz-boxerworks - Autumn Zombie Rally anyone?

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Excellent. I think Pete is in Tassie. What about Bob and Mal of BB? Won't be much of a ride for you guys, unless Bob is in that other place that starts with 'Nar'. Who else?

Yep I'm out west at the moment, but heading east on Tue, should be able to
get down there for Sat night though I'll have to find a map to work out how to get there.
Sounds good see ya's there.

That's great, Bob. Here'a a map image ...

You take the turnoff to Wapengo Lake from the highway, stopping off at Wapengo Rocks wharf for fresh seafood as required, then head southeast. You have to open a gate where the track meets the forested bit and you are almost there. Jeff and I paid $10 each for a night, firewood included. Don't expect any signs saying "Picnic Point". I think the locals sensibly remove any signs whenever they are installed.

The road to the campsite is 'Wapengo Lake road'. It runs of the main Bermagui -Tathra road.
Wapengo Lake road is about halfway between Bermagui and Tathra, closer to Bermy tho.
I think there are only oysters available at the sheds, Charlie.

The beach is pretty ordinary tho.

And watch out for the wildlife ...

Here you can see the nests of a species occasionally sighted in the area (Airheadus Ratbagii) ...

For we who live inland, waking up to this will be quite a treat ...

I'll head off early on Friday morning. See yez there.

I'll be in the area, but otherwise occupied, I've organised a club (CVMCE local historic car & bike club) run from Moruya through Bermy and along the coast rd to Tathra for lunch at the pub on Sunday 3rd. Plus I've got our Hash House Harriers 10 year anniversary run on Sat, probably won't be in any condition to go anywhere.

The troubles of being a social butterfly

Seriously, you guys have drinkers with a running problem down there, too?

I need to stay home.

I'll have to plead guilty, been hashing ( a strange combination of beer & running ) for 30 years, and it's starting to show.

Looks like a great spot. I can't wait!

Schtarker is going well, rode a 1000km round trip Thursday-Friday to catch up with one of my brothers and see his latest purchase, a kettle.

We swapped bikes for about 80km, I was surprised how good it was to ride. Very comfortable, torquey, smooth. A lot like the BM actually, but for the cackle and swarm of bees.
