Hey guys - just wanted to give you the cause - it was the wiring to the ignition system. The boyer system is still good, but a short in one of the wires leading to the coil. I also rewired it as recommended - not having the power directly from the battery. Sparksnow on each side. Thanks for your suggestions and also Bill @ Rocky Point Cycle.

Rob has outlined a good method.

It is far more likely that the "kill" button or ignition switch is not allowing powder to reach the Boyer unit. Electronics don't go bad simply sitting there. On the other hand, switches do corrode when out of service, and can easily loose connectivity.
