Re: '07 R1200S loaded with extras
Lovely bike. I was looking at them 5 years back...how do you find the riding position?
I decided it was more SPORT tourer when I was after a sport TOURER but still sort of hanker for one.
They come up here in Oz occasionally, usually lowish kms and seem to sell after a while.
Servo ABS?

Re: '07 R1200S loaded with extras
As I had listed it the riding posture is still more sport than touring...for sure, but the slightly lowered pegs and the much higher flat tracker style bars make it much more relaxed for my smallish (5'-9") stature. This bike was designed for big men as sport bikes go.
I really have enjoyed "terrorizing the neighborhood" with this monster but am riding less and less at 67 yrs. and favor the R90S or the R69S more these days...

OMG Looking so cool!
I've always found the R1200S to be a sexy bike. And since dealers are starting to deal out rather large discounts on the left-over R1200Ss, I'm tempted... However, I do absolutely love my F800S. I thought I'd try to gather the opinions of the newly converted and those that rather stick to their F800-series bikes altogether.
First up, how does the R1200S handle versus the F800S (the red and therefore slightly faster model of the 800-series, mind)? Cornering? Braking? I've tried the seating position at the dealer and like it, but how does it feel after a whole day in the saddle?
